Attention summer festival lovers! Rose Pest Solutions is proud to be the title sponsor for Oswegoland Park District’s annual PrairieFest, kicking off today in Oswego, IL and running from June 15 – June 18!
Running for four days and boasting an attendance of over 75,000 people, PrairieFest has easily become the area’s most visible and well-attended event that’s focused on being “a nod to community’s charm as well as the stirring summer celebration that occurs over Father’s Day weekend.”
Boasting a carnival, live music, a parade, and FREE admission, PrairieFest has been bringing people from all over Illinois together for over 30 years. Rose Pest is all about our amazing community, and taking part in this weekend is one of our favourite opportunities to connect with the public.

This year, the festival will celebrate “Spirit of a Town, Party of a Summer.” We will be encouraging that with all the community favorites: Medallion Hunt, PrairieFest Softball Tournament, Prairie Winds Concert, Fathers’ Day Parade, 5K Run and Prairie Dog Jog, Expo Village and great bands throughout the weekend. Libido Funk Circus will open the festival on Thursday, Blessid Union of Souls and Eve6 will be playing Friday, and on Saturday night, Gina Glocksen will open for Sugar Ray with Mark McGrath!
Are you excited yet? We sure are! Zippy, the Rose Pest mascot, will be making an appearance Saturday morning at the festival with our fabulous Marketing Director Janelle (aka Chicago’s Bug Girl) for selfie ops, tons of free giveaways, hugs, and hang outs in our tent area. We’ve got a great shaded spot with lots of room to relax, eat, and even win some free stuff! Come say hi and talk bugs with us! We can’t wait to see everyone again!
